Moffat has been in the entertainment industry for thirteen
years. Prior to working at Keshet Productions, Michael lived
in Toronto, where he pursued an acting career. He received
training from the Humber School of Creative and Performing
Arts, Second City, and various workshops in the greater Toronto
area. Michael landed roles in films, such as "More to
Love" with Maxwell Caulfield and "The Defenders:
Payback" with Beau Bridges and E.G. Marshall. He also
appeared in various television shows, including "Due
South" with Paul Gross.
In 1993, Michael took a job with Fifth Dimension Television.
It was here that he began to produce and direct. Michael directed
upwards of three hundred commercials and even starred in his
own talk show for Fifth Dimension, before leaving the company
in 1995. Since then, he has produced and directed corporate
videos for entities, such as the Department of National Defence.
Recently Michael has begun work on a number of new projects,
including the development of a children’s series and a special
project involving the production of audio/video content for
cell phones. All of Michael’s projects have had one common
goal which is to create programs that are not only entertaining
but that enrich the lives of those who watch them.
